I have written twenty nine blogs over the course of around twelve weeks. Each blog contains roughly 250 words, so after this final entry i will have written around 7,500 words. That is quite phenomenal, and the funny part is it doesnt even seem like i wrote that much and i feel as though these blogs have helped me become a better writer, not gramatically as i do no editing in these, in general. I feel as though i could write about any subject now and at least have enough skill to write more than just a sentence or two on a subject. Also i feel as though if given a topic i could come up with something to write about it quickly as i usually do my blogs in a rush as while they help my writing, they still arent “Fun” to do. I would like to say this first semester of college has been quite a experience, and i hope my grades turn out as good as i want. I had a lot of fun now that i think back on it, even if a lot of it was full of school work. This first semester has passed by so quickly, and i wouldnt change anything about it, except i would of slowed down and not got that speeding ticket….lol

Jelly car two

The first jelly car application for the iphone and ipod touch was a significant success. The game involves driving a car made of jelly to a target, you can slip through cracks and other crevices, as well as become a monster truck sized car temporarily if you touch the car. This game kept me awake through the second semester of high school, and i think my teachers would appreciate this game for that reason alone. Anyways the arrival of jelly car two has somewhat dissapointed me. Tons of new features where added to make it much harder to beat all the levels along with several new mini games to pass time even after you finish the game itself. The mini games which include a jelly block sorter game and a long jump contest are fun, and easy to play and a good idea. However the track creator may have been a stupid idea. The track creator is hard to use, and full of glitches that make tracks you may of spent a hour making unplayable…ever. The classic levels is still as fun as ever, however with the addition of the ability to stick your wheels to wheels and climb them, and the ability to grow and balloon to lift the car into the air, they may have added to much. The original jelly car was difficult and challenging but not impossible. Jelly car two relies on using exact timing to complete levels. Over all the original was better and jelly car two costs one dollar. Over all id say get it, but dont expect to be blown away.

This is more of a confession, yes i play world of warcraft. No i am not addicted to it as 90% of the people who play it are. It is an amazingly fun game, but if i have homework to do, or if friends want to hang out i will do whats more important. Also it is a way of communicating with my friends as my 3 best friends all play also….some of which are world of warcraft junkies who spend nearly every possible moment on the game. I would like to say its an amazing world and that is why it captures so many fans. Three continents that would take hours to walk across each one, and then outland which is like another planet type area which is a massive floating island surrounded by abyss. Its the aspect of the game that catches so many people’s attention, a long time ago you might of been able to grab a sword and leave home and go on an adventure. But not today, in order to go on an adventure you need a lot of money to get you there, then more money to do anything fun. Also i would like to say that for people who make fun of the game, they obviously have not played, as everyone i know who has tried it loved it. One of the first tips that pops up on your screen as you start your adventure into azeroth, “Take all things in moderation, even World of Warcraft.”

my speeding ticket

So after realizing i havent paid my speeding ticket yet i decided to finally just get it over with. However as i went online to pay for it, i discovered that my ticket is not online, nor when i call the courthouse do they have any record of it. Perhaps a delay in processing it. Or maybe the cop realized what a @$$whole he was and felt bad so he didnt process it. Either way i am a little confused, i have no way of knowing what to do as the representative was not very helpful. I mean if i dont show up for the court date are they going to put a warrant out for me? Or if i show up will they realize that i slipped through the system and make me pay a fine anyway. This is a very delicate situation as i do not want to pay my ticket, however going to jail seems much worse than a fine. I believe i will call them back after the holidays and hopefully talk to someone that speaks english and get this thing sorted out once and for all.

Home for the holidays

You know i chose to live at Southern polytechnic for no other reason than to get away from home. Yet each time i go home and see my friends and family it has become harder to come back to southern poly. I always thought that i would leave home and occassionaly go back to see friends and family, but not miss them like i do. I suppose that my home is and will always be in the small quaint town of Dacula, although it is growing rapidly. I am looking so forward to having 5 days off and see them again, but i will be working saturday and sunday sadly. Anyways i owuld also like to say the reason im writing this blog is to waste time as i have a test in my 530 class today. It makes me quite angry that all my early classes today were canceled, yet this one class keeps me here. However i do not blame the teacher as she gave our class the choice of what day to have the test, and while i voted to have it last thursday most of the class thought they needed more time to study. To them i say your at a school that is mainly engineering, pre-calculus is easy and if you find it difficult you are at the wrong school. Im so ready to go home!

process

A process is logical path that you should follow to do a task. The task can be as simple as making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or as complex as nuclear fission. The most common place you will see a process is when cooking. Recipes usually have a exact way to do things, or else it will turn out badly.

John Baptist Porta wrote a process on how to cook peacock, as well as many other game birds. First off He starts by telling us that we need to kill a peacock. Basically this is a common sense step, but in a process you want to make sure to include every detail possible to prevent confusion. He then continues to explain the precise order in which to cook and add spices to create the perfect peacock, and while it may be good I dont plan on eating a peacock anytime soon. He also adds at the end a optional step to get it to breathe fire. A process can include optional paths that create a nicer presentation or alternate routes can be added to do things in case you are lacking certain items.

A process can also be quite absurd. The recipe for a Mint Julep involves finding a stream where water bubbles from beneath ferns and many other unconventional steps to create his Mint Julep. Now whilst it is completley crazy, he does go into great detail on how to create it and it does follow a path that eventually ends with a Mint Julep so it is still a process.

The IT Crowd

So after being bored nearly all day last Thursday, my friend asked me to come over and watch this new show he found called The IT Crowd. I spent the next several hours laughing at this hilarious British comedy. The plot is pretty straight forward and follows the life of two IT’s in a large business. Their happy lives are interupted when the business hires a new IT manager, who knows nothing about computers. After realizing that their new manager can prevent them from being treated like trash they choose to let her stay. YOu never know what to expect from Moss and Roy as they get into all kinds of shananingans. Such as convincing their manager that the entire internet is just a little box so she guards it with her life, or sending an email to the fire department saying

FIRE! FIRE! Please send assisstance. Looking forward to hearing from you.

-Moss (note that their is actually a fire and he just doesnt know the emergency phone number.)

Perhaps the funniest moment though is when Jen (their new manager) opens up the red door that she was told not to open, to find Richmond, a ex-executive of the company was put down their after he became a goth.

also something else i found out is that the dvds have a subtitle option where everything is in leet (that means to say hello you would use #3110) not using letters to make words is the idea of it.

A new favorite band =]

So a friend recently reccomended i listen to a band by the name of Cobra Starship. I have to say they are quite amazing, they perfectly blend rock, electronic and dance music. Not only that but you seriously cant help but sing along and at the very least tap your foot to the beat.Quite a few of their songs speak to me very well also. For example one song titled “Your not in on the Joke,” repeats the line ” I only show you what i want you to see, i keep my t-t-t-tongue in my cheek.” That describes me quite well, i only show my true self to a select few people. They also did a remake of Gwen Stefannis Hollaback girl, and titled it Hollaback boy, it is to completley obscene to talk about it on here so here is link if you want a good laugh.

Venting

Okay, so just a warning this is going to just be a rant complaining on the ignorance of people. My Roommate, Marcus, left school early last Friday because he said he was sick. He went to the school nurse before he left and was told it was a stomach virus but that there was a chance of it turning into swine flu. I went home over the weekend came back Sunday night and he was not here, nor was he here Monday morning. He comes in Monday night, Still extremely sick. Not only does he come here, but he came here for no reason what so ever. He did not go to a single class on Tuesday and just slept all day. I told him to go home around thirty times over Tuesday and Wednesday, and he has just finally left around five pm on Wednesday. What was the point of coming here, to a room 13×13 feet where you know another person will be, and then not even go to class. Not only that, but i texted his mother and told her that she needed to get her son to go home, and that i would be pissed off if i got sick because of his ignorance. She replied with “It wouldn’t be his fault if you get sick, you could of gotten it from anywhere, and the nurse said its just a stomach virus and Might turn into swine flu.” Okay it took some serious self control to not call her and cuss her out. A stomach virus does not last 6 days without any signs of improvement, and secondly of coarse it would be his fault if i got sick!

Netherworld

Netherworld, supposedly the scariest house in the southeaster united states, turned out to be somewhat of a dissapointment compared to two years ago when I went. I remember being scared to turn the next corner or move near one the monsters, yet this time I couldn’t help but to laugh at them and the other people who got scared. I think one of the problems was that two years ago we waited in line for nearly two hours, and I believe the anticipation is what truly scared me. This year however as we went earlier and it was raining we basically walked right inside the house of horrors. Maybe I have grown up and it takes more to scare me? Or maybe it was because I knew what to expect. I would say that if you go to netherworld, don’t plan on going again for several years untill you have forgotten their tricks, different monsters, same tricks. Next stop, thirteen stories a haunted house where you have to sign a waver to go in as there are rumors that they can: touch you,they use live spiders and snakes, and its so scary that if you make it to the top of the thirteen stories you get your money back, this sounds like a challenge =]. The problem is will I have time to do it before it ends at the end of october…..
